This is an auto-dialer for the Sarasota Herald newspaper--looking for subscribers....

calling and hanging up. when i call it back noone answers then it hangs up

I received several calls from an Indian sounding male who identifies himself as "Frank Jordan" and wants to collect on a debt owed by a Kimberly Franco. He's a piece of crap trying to extort money.

IS A SCAM -- do not give him personal information -- claims to want to buy a wedding dress for his daughter.

Agreed, these asshats aren't an actual collections agency. The lady on the phone couldn't even pronounce a simple last name. Once I had verified my name she kept asking for even more personal information in an attempt to phish for information. I told her to tell me what the debt was and she stated that I had to give her my address before she could divulge that info. I told her to never call me again as she hadn't verified a debt.

Get called two or three times a day by this number. Normally I just let it ring, and no message is left, but sometimes I redirect it to my voice mail where a vague message is left to the effect of: "This is card services, please return the call. this is concerning your current credit card account. Don't be alarmed, there is nothing wrong with your account" Calling the number back connects me with a phone rep who cannot clarify any of the information regarding my "current credit card account" (Ive never had a credit card). Pretty clear scam.

Every time I answer, it disconnects. It happens about 5 times a day from the same number.

Calls and then once called it picked up they hang up. Call back and get disconnected after a couple rings.
